Palestinian prisoner Khodor Adnan freed


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Israeli authorities released Sunday Palestinian prisoner Khodor Adnan after he had been in captivity for 12 months. While in captivity, Adnan was on a hunger strike for 56 consecutive days.

Adnan's family has said that upon Adnan's release, they immediately headed to the hospital in order for Adnan to be subject to thorough medical examinations. From there, he will then head home, accompanied by tens of fellow Palestinians and family members.

Adnan's family also said the former prisoner will be feted in a huge ceremony planned for Monday.

The decision was made to free Adnan on the 28th of last month after his health had deteriorated while in captivity.
