(MENAFN- The Peninsula) LG Electronics recently partnered with Pakistan Women's Association (PWA) Qatar to host a cookery contest and show.
PWA cookery show & contest took place at Doha Marriott Hotel, on July 2. Chef Zakir who is Pakistan's Master Chef was the judge, Chef Tony who is Doha Marriott's Senior Chef and Jassim Mohammed who is a food enthusiast were the other two judges.
Chef Zakir is a well known and successful chef from Pakistan known the world over. He is proficient in different types of cuisines. He was specially brought in by Pakistan Women's Association to judge the cookery contest and all give many useful cooking tips.
LG Electronics took this opportunity to present to the participants some of the benefits of using LG appliances especially the LG Solardom microwave, LG Gas Cooker and LG Door in Door Refrigerator.
The participants could touch and feel these new product offerings from LG. The LG Solardom microwave comes with a charcoal heater and easy clean coating. The LG Gas cooker comes with many useful features like rotisserie grilling, removal glass door for ease in cleaning, flame failure device, etc.
The LG Door in Door refrigerator offers the convenience of having a small door within the main door that enables you to quickly access items you frequently need minimising the loss of cold air thereby saving electricity.
The contestants food was judged on the basis of taste and presentation. Rukhsana Muneer won the first prize for her Mutton Haleem with Dash Chicken & Honey Mustard Chicken, the second position was taken by Nelofar Ameer for her Mutton Kadahi with Rasmalai and the third place was claimed by Aiysha Ali for Shahi Haleem, vegetable cutlets with walnut Halwa. Shabana Shoaib won the fourth position, Henna Syed won fifth, Afreen Yousuf won sixth, Hameeda Syed won the seventh position.
