Saudi- ANB posts net profit of 428.2m in first half


(MENAFN- Arab News) JEDDAH: Arab National Bank has reported a net profit of $428.2 million for the first six months of 2015 compared to $399.5 million for the same period last year an increase of 7.2 percent.
Profits of the second quarter of 2015 reached $222.7 million compared to $209.4 million for the same period last year.
ANB total operating income for the first six months of 2015 reached $801.5 million compared to $718.5 million for the same period last year an increase of 11.6 percent.
Assets as of June 30 2015 reached $44.4 billion and investments reached $9.0 billion while the loans portfolio reached $29.6 billion and customer deposits reached $35.3 billion.
Robert Eid ANB chief executive officer stated that such good results reflect the strength of the banking sector and the benign economic environment as well as the bank's continued focus on achieving sustainable growth alongside a conservative credit culture.
