Qatar- Illegal animal farms removed in Mesaieed


(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Under a new campaign, the Ministry of Municipality and Urban Planning has removed many illegal animal farms in Mesaieed.

The State Properties Department has begun the campaign to remove farms functioning on public land without licence.

The campaign initially continues in Mesaieed in cooperation with the Mechanical Department at the ministry and technical staff at Al Wakrah municipality, local Arabic daily Al Raya reports.

The inspection campaign will be extended to other areas across the country.

Authorities will take action against those setting up animal farms in violation of Law No. 10 of 1987, which also prohibits their expansion beyond permitted areas.
