India: The siege within
(MENAFN- Arab News) The article 'Welcome to Modistan' (July 8) should serve as an eye-opener to each and every Indian who is being duped into believing that Narendra Modi is their savior.
I saw comments on the article posted on Arab News website criticizing the writer for bashing Modi. The article presents the reported facts. Nobody not even the BJP stalwarts could deny those charges. Those who are agitating over the article are not only living in a fool's paradise but are giving credence to the theory that India is indeed turning into Modistan.
The secular credentials of our beloved homeland are under threat from the saffron brigade which is hell bent on altering the social fabric of the Indian society. Is there no truth in the Vyapam scam? Should the reporting of such scams or the analyses of Indian politics be confined to India?
Is it wrong to mention about the venom-spitting BJP leaders who are out to divide the Indian society along communal lines? The article in question should be distributed among patriotic Indians who appear to be in a deep slumber. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and its show boy Narendra Modi and RSS etc. represent the mindset against which our founding fathers fought a long battle. The elements currently at the helm are everything our great founding fathers stood against.
Why getting offended by an article? Go to the Google and they would be surprised that the article in question contains nothing but the truth. And truth is sometimes bitter.
It is high time the secular forces of India acted against these semi-literate saffronists. India is facing great danger and we should act now before it is too late. It is Modi's responsibility to take action against his party's members and allies but his silence proves that he endorses their views and actions. Debashish Mehta Dammam
