(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) FBI Director James Comey indicated on Thursday that federal authorities halted an undisclosed number of plots set for the American July Fourth holiday to, "kill people in the United States," USA Today reported.
Comey said that the plots were linked to ISIL and would not elaborate on the plots or what they targeted.
"This is sort of the new normal," he said to reporters.
Before the holiday, the FBI and Department of Homeland Security had issued a warning of a possible attack in preparation of the holiday weekend. (end) ak.ibi
