Saudi construction sector records 7.1 percent growth in Q1
(MENAFN) Saudi Arabia's construction sector registered a growth of 7.1 percent in the first quarter of the year, marking the most rapid growth among all the sectors, The Saudi Gazette reported.
Most of the sectors in Saudi posted an improving trend in growth in the first quarter; however, the construction market was distinguished in reversing its slower growth in the previous three quarters to a more rapid one this year.
The results are attributed to huge activity in building infrastructure, increasing residential projects, and to the large government spending allocation that was dedicated to boosting the provision of housing in the country.
