Russia's international reserves grow by USD5b


(MENAFN) Russian international reserves increased by USD4.8 billion last month and are presently standing at USD361.6 billion, according to the federation's central bank, Turkish Weekly reported.

The result came to the contrary of previously issued reports that indicated that Russian reserves are to decline by 0.7 percent in a single week. The international reserves are comprised by the external assets easily controlled by authorities.

They are commonly used to balance financing demands, for intervening in exchange markets to drop some impact over the currency exchange rate, and for other purposes.
