(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) International Monetary Fund chief Christine
Lagarde is reiterating the crisis lender's call for debt
restructuring for crisis-ridden Greece, dpa reported.
In an appearance at the Brookings Institution, a Washington think
tank, she said that debt restructuring 'is needed in the particular
case of Greece for it to have debt sustainability.'
The IMF last week said that Greek debt was unsustainable, and 'that
analysis has not changed,' Lagarde says.
She acknowledges that the Washington-based IMF has been relatively
quiet in recent days on the Greek crisis, as eurozone leaders
negotiate with the Greek government.
