Oman's internet, telephone services post USD59.06m revenue

(MENAFN) The Sultanate of Oman recorded USD59.06 million revenues in the first quarter of the year from its fixed Internet, fixed telephone and mobile services, Muscat Daily reported.

The figure compares to the USD57.94 million in revenue recorded in the fourth quarter of last year. The sustained growth is attributable to the 193 percent increase seen in business broadband over the last financial year.

Likewise, active broadband users rose by 13 percent and fixed Internet lines by 12 percent by the end of the first quarter, according to the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority's (TRA) Telecom Market Indicators Report.
