Kurdish forces seize Ein Essa town in N. Syria


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Just 48 hours after losing control of Ein Essa town, in northern Syria, the Kurdish People's Protection Units (YGP) forces managed to drive the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) militants out of the strategic town, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) announced Wednesday.

The SOHR added that YGP forces is carrying house-to-house search to the town to chase ISIL militants.

So far, the YGP forces have found corpses of six ISIL militants, it noted.
Meanwhile, an ISIL senior commander was killed in an air strike by the US-led coalition drone in the northern Syrian city of Al-Raqqa, the SOHR announced.
