Kuwait- 'Second Campaign To Find Illegal Arms Starts Soon'

(MENAFN- Arab Times) Assistant Undersecretary for Criminal Security Affairs at Ministry of Interior Major General Abdulhameed Al- Awadi affirmed that the sector and other concerned security sectors are working systematically to carry out their respective duties and responsibilities for confiscating unlicensed weapons, arms and ammunition.

In a press release issued by Ministry of Interior, Major General Al-Awadhi disclosed that security operatives, after taking necessary legal measures, embarked on campaigns for inspecting vehicles on a number of major and minor roads in the country in search for unlicensed weapons, in collaboration with traffic officers and the Special Forces.

He indicated that the second phase of the campaigns will involve impromptu campaigns at different times across all regions of the country, affirming that the officers will be raiding suspicious locations where they are likely to find unlicensed weapons.
