(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) The benchmark MSM30 index slipped 0.40 per cent on Wednesday to close at 6402.65.
Among the sub-indices the Financial index dropped 0.72 per cent while the Industrial gauge declined 0.13 per cent. However the Services sub-index bucked the market trend and closed 0.24 per cent higher.
The MSM Shariah index lost 0.16 per cent from the previous day's close.
A total of RO3.08mn worth of shares were traded in the session on volumes of 14.88mn shares. Market breadth was clearly negative with 16 stocks closing lower against four gainers while 22 scrips closed unchanged.
Al Batinah Power Al Suwadi Power Al Sharqia Investment Holding and Bank Sohar were the only four gainers on the Muscat bourse. Ahlibank (-6.51 per cent) and Dhofar Cattle Feed (-3.31 per cent) were among the top losers.
