Oman- Royal Decree on Duqm Port issued


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said on Wednesday issued Royal Decree 28/2015 promulgating the Law on Granting Concession to Develop Manage and Operate Duqm Port and endorsing its related agreements.

Article 1 states that without prejudice to the provisions of the Maritime Law issued under Royal Decree 35/81 the Law on Granting Concession to Develop Manage and Operate Duqm Port (attached to this Decree) shall be applied.

Article 2 endorses the Duqm Port Concession and Land Development (Usufruct) Rights Agreement and the Shareholders Agreement stated in the attached law.

Article 3 stipulates that the chairman of the Special Economic Zone Authority at Duqm shall issue the bylaws and decisions necessary for the execution of the attached law.

Article 4 states that this Decree shall be published in the official gazette and enforced on its date of issue.
