Qatar to attend Ebola meet
(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Qatar is taking part in the International Ebola Recovery Conference at the UN headquarters in New York, tomorrow.
Qatar's delegation will be headed by Dr Saleh bin Ali al-Marri, assistant secretary general for medical affairs at the Supreme Council of Health.
The conference will offer an opportunity to discuss in detail country-based and regional anti-Ebola strategies, and provide a platform to secure pledges of international support that could guarantee enough finances for the recovery efforts.
The conference will be held in co-operation with the governments of Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone, and in partnership with the African Union, the African Development Bank, the European Union and the World Bank.
