Tripartite meeting in Lebanon to discuss Israeli violations
(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Commander of the United Nations Interim Force In Lebanon (UNIFIL), General Luciano Portolano chaired on Tuesday a tripartite meeting in the presence of Lebanese and Israeli army officers at the UNIFIL headquarters in Naqoura in Southern Lebanon.
They discussed issues related to the implementation of resolution 1701 and the latest incidents in the south of Litani.
The Lebanese delegation reviewed the Israeli maritime, airspace and land violations and asked to halt such violations, reports QNA.
From his part, Portolano stressed the need to coordinate with UNIFIL before any activity near the blue line, as well as encouraged both sides to reach to field preparations to achieve practical steps in the implementation of resolution 1701 in a bid to preserve stability in the region.
