UN official commends King Salman Relief Center
(MENAFN- Arab News) RIYADH: The UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and General Coordinator for Syrian Refugees and Iraqis Amin Awadh praised the achievements of the King Salman Center for Refugees and Humanitarian Works recently.
He commended the work of the center during his meeting with Royal Court Advisor and Supervisor of the King Salman Center Abdullah Al-Rabeeah on Tuesday.
Awadh was briefed about the services rendered by the center to Yemeni refugees.
The official spokesman for the King Salman Center for Refugees and Humanitarian Work Rafat Al-Sabbagh confirmed the importance of partnerships between the center and the United Nations organizations. He noted that it is important to determine priorities and speed up achievements to lift the Yemeni people out of their sufferings.
The center continues with its humanitarian work and daily aid for people stranded in Yemen in the Al-Wadea' governorate in Sharura. The center also continues with its Ramadan program to provide daily sustenance for those stuck inside Yemen. The center distributes hot meals water and juices to refugees for iftar and suhoor.
At the Wadieha port chief Sharura administrator Ibrahim Al-Shahri said the authorities helping stranded Yemenis as well as those coming to the Kingdom.
