Oman sets regulations over foreign transport vehicles

(MENAFN) Oman's Ministry of Transport and Communication has set some regulations over foreign transport vehicles that impose a USD25.88 fee for empty carriers including lorries and buses,

The move came after the ministry issued a decision banning foreign land transport vehicles, including empty buses and trucks, with non-GCC crews from entering the country to transport passengers or goods.

It also bans them from practicing any commercial transport activities in the country as well as loading goods on the way out of the country without prior permission.

The decision also bans foreign land transport company vehicles and their crews to stay in Oman for more than seven days without authorization from the Ministry.
