(MENAFN) The trade volume between the UAE and China reached USD54.8 billion last year, with new investments underway after Business Park Free Zone has appointed several meetings with Chinese companies, Gulf News reported.

The appointments are B2B (business to business) meetings and are aimed at attracting more Chinese foreign investment; they were made by Business Park Free Zone, which is integral part of Dubai World Central (DWC).

"Currently, we have over 2,500 companies based at DWC and the objective of this tour was to demonstrate the exciting value proposition DWC holds for Chinese businesses," the VP of Business Park said in a statement.
