At least one intelligence agency officer was killed and another wounded, while at least two suicide bombers also died in the attack on the National Security Directorate (NDS).

One suicide bomber reportedly detonated an explosive-laden rickshaw near the main gate of the facility.

"In today's failed terrorist attack on the NDS facility, one NDS soldier was martyred and one other was wounded. All terrorists were identified and killed," the agency said in statement.

Earlier Tuesday, a Taliban suicide bomber attacked a NATO convoy in the same district of Kabul, injuring two people.
