(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Sesame Street Live's musical show, 'Elmo Makes Music', will be staged at Qatar National Convention Centre from July 18 to 22.
The event is part of the 2015 Eid al-Fitr Festival organised by Qatar Tourism Authority. The festival is to be held in collaboration with public and private sector partners to reinforce Qatar's position as a preferred family tourist destination within the GCC, according to a statement.
Dania Group is bringing the event to Doha for the first time on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, giving audiences in Qatar the opportunity to see popular Sesame Street characters such as Elmo, Abby Cadabby, Big Bird and their friends in action.
There will be 10 performances of the show, tickets for which are on sale at Virgin Megastores, QTickets.com, LuLu Centre and Hypermarkets, FNAC (Lagoona Mall) and Sharaf DG (Ezdan Mall).
Tickets for the show are priced at QR110 and above, with discounts for early birds available until July 10 through online purchase only. The show timings are 5pm and 8pm.
Like television's 'Sesame Street', each Sesame Street Live production features "timeless lessons for all ages. Through the razzle-dazzle of this Broadway-quality musical production, children learn about patience, acceptance and teamwork", the statement notes.
"The universal appeal of a Sesame Street Live production continues long after preschool. Adults will appreciate the hi-tech stagecraft, cleverly written scripts and music they'll recognise and enjoy sharing with children, such as 'The Hustle', 'You Should Be Dancing' and 'Rockin' Robin'," it adds.
