Qatar stock index drops 41.31 points


(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index dropped 41.31 points, 0.34 percent, when the bourse closed trading Monday at 11,966.7 points.

The market capitalization decreased to QR637.40bn from QR 639.11bn registered Sunday.

The traded valued increased to QR176.02m with a volume of 4,322,976 shares from 2,194 transactions compared with QR97.68m with a volume 2,596,484 shares from 1,712 transactions Sunday.

Indices of three sectors gained marginally today while four declined. Insurance index gained the most today, up 0.98 percent to 4,742.43 points while industries declined the most, down 1.05 percent to 3,872.14 points.

QSE Total Return Index dropped 0.34 percent to 18,600.52 points, QSE Al Rayan Islamic Index dropped 0.47 percent to 4,649.78 points and QSE All Share Index dropped 0.21 percent to 3,160.11 points.

From the 43 companies listed on QSE, shares of 41 saw trading today. From these 25 dropped, ten gained and six remained unchanged.
