US AMD forecasts USD948m revenue for Q2

(MENAFN) Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), the US-based chipmaker, forecasts USD948 million quarterly revenue, marking a decrease by 8 percent from the first quarter, IT Web Financial reported.

The new forecast comes in differently from the previously assumed decline of 3 percent, plus or minus 3 percent, and from analysts expected USD999.6 million revenue.

"They are going through a big transition. It's not a one quarter turnaround story, it's going to take multiple quarters for the vision to come to fruition," an analyst from Wedbush Securities said in a statement.
