Modiu P who runs a mobile phone shop in Qurm said 'No business activities took place in our office as the Internet and landline phones were down. The technical problem lasted from 10am till 12noon.'
Shameer M a resident of the area said 'I had gone to a bank in Qurm for business transactions and found people waiting for work to resume.
'The bank said that there was a system failure. Work resumed only after a few hours.'
A senior executive of a company said 'Business was hit due to the problem.
'There were lots of queries regarding the delay in conducting transactions.
'The problem was rectified only by afternoon.'
