Kuwait- Imams Asked To Explain Danger Of Spreading Rumors To Worshippers


(MENAFN- Arab Times) Assistant Undersecretary for Mosques Sector at the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Waleed Al-Shuabi has asked the Imams to explain the danger of spreading rumors without verifying the information to the worshippers. He made the statement after visiting Jaber Al-Ali Center to personally look into the preparations of the Mosques Department in Ahmadi Governorate at the Ramadan Center and the mosques where 'Taraweeh' prayer is performed.

He also stressed the importance of ignoring rumors and complying with the instructions of committees tasked to organize mosques during the holy nights of Ramadan. He hailed the efforts exerted by the department this year, adding the visit revealed the level of efforts exerted in this regard.

In the same context, Director of Mosques Department in Jahra Governorate Eng Ibrahim Al-Enezi stressed the need for the public to cooperate with the security authorities and report any suspicious activities in the mosques to protect the sanctity of these worship places and to guarantee the security of worshippers.

During his meeting with Al- Sulaibiya Imams and Muezzins on Sunday, Al-Enezi said the Imams should record all sermons and religious lessons given inside the mosques; while stressing the importance of avoiding sectarian discussions, promoting national unity and respect for doctrines.
