Oman defeats Mexico in friendly match
(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Oman defeated Mexico 3-2 on Sunday in the Portuguese city of Espinho in the first of the two friendlies ahead of the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup which will be held from July 9-19.
Coached by Talib Hilal the Asian champion owed its victory to Khalid al Araimi who scored a hat-trick in Oman's win.
Oman will play against Argentina in the last warm-up match ahead of its opening Group B match against fancied Switzerland on July 9.
The other teams in the group are Italy and Costa Rica. The top two teams will advance to the quarterfinals.
