(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Qatar Charity (QC)'s programme "Travelling Iftar" continues for the third year within the country during the holy month of Ramadan.
The objective is to distribute light meals to drivers who cannot make it to their homes before Iftar time. The meals are prepared by Qatari productive families.

The distribution areas include a number of busy traffic signals, including The Mall, Doha Corniche, Dahl Al Hamam, Al Abedly intersection, Old Airport, Industrial Area, North Road and Al Wakrah.
Majed Saleh al-Ali, supervisor of the "Travelling Iftar" project, said; "The project is significantly successful; we notice that in the fasting persons' smiles. Our teams reach the distribution points a few minutes before the Maghrib prayer and start distributing after 6pm."
Al-Ali added that there are 10 distribution points on some of the busiest roads in the country. Nearly 400 meals are given away daily, which would result in a total of 12,000 during the entire holy month.
