KSA- 200 events lined up for Eid holidays


(MENAFN- Arab News) RIYADH: The Saudi capital is fully geared for this year's Eid Al-Fitr celebrations that include an exciting bouquet of entertainment heritage sports artistic and theatrical events.
The annual Muslim festivities being organized here by the Riyadh municipality with the cooperation of various government entities and private bodies will cover all districts of the city and bring together people from all walks of life and family members to enjoy the feast.
Festivities will also feature women's and children's activities under the supervision of female cadres said the municipality.
The authority will provide all necessary services equipment and facilities for young people in line with their interests and preferences to enhance their participation in the activities in addition to facilitating the experience for people with special needs.
The event according to the municipality will kick off from the heart of the capital and extend to all districts of the city. It will feature a children's show after the evening prayer. Some 40 productive families will display their products and a giant screen will be placed at Masmak Palace Square linked to a huge theater to show a number of popular folk paintings.
Fireworks will be launched at seven sites geographically distributed throughout the city: King Abdullah International Gardens Hanging Bridge Financial City Nakheel Mall King Fahd International Stadium South Manakh King Abdulaziz Park and Al-Hair.
Another event in the east of Riyadh will be the 10th championship for cars and motorcycles called 'breaking the barrier of time.' It will be held after Maghreb prayer every day during the Eid Al-Fitr holidays with the participation of a number of modified cars equipped with powerful engines to compete for the championship.
The celebration will be officially opened by Riyadh Gov. Prince Faisal bin Bandar at Qasr Al-Hukm along with princes and officials where he will watch performers of the Saudi traditional sword dance.
