Qatar real gross domestic product grows 4.1 percent in Q1


(MENAFN) Qatar recorded a 4.1 percent growth in real gross domestic product (GDP) in the first quarter of the year compared to the corresponding period a year ago, The Peninsula reported.

Nonetheless, GDP growth for the previous fourth quarter in 2014 was 3.4 percent, according to preliminary date from the Ministry of Development Planning and Statistics (MDPS).

The real GDP in the first quarter of the year reached USD54.7 billion compared to USD52.53 billion recorded in the first quarter of last year, the data showed.
