Qatar- Dust storms likely, visibility to be poor


(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Visibility in several parts of the country is expected to fall considerably owing to dust storms today.

The maximum temperature expected today is 44C, and the minimum, 29C. Strong winds from the north will make Ruwais and suburbs a little cooler while higher temperatures are likely in Mesaieed, Doha, Wakrah and Al Khor.

The Met office has forecast winds at 18-28 knots on the shoreline. Winds may gust upto 35 knots. However by late in the evening it is set to fall to 10-17 knots. It is likely to be equally windy offshore.

Visibility may drop to 2km or less even though the general level could be anywhere between four and seven km. Waves are likely to go up to 8ft in many locations.
