Oman- Hyderabad community iftar to be held on July 10


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) The annual public iftar gathering by the Hyderabad community will be held at the Clock Tower in Ruwi on Friday.

Dr Abdul Mohi head of the team organising the event was quoted in a release as saying that the event every year attracts people of various nationalities where they gather to break fast and offer Maghreb prayers.

Many Omanis also attend the event. Organisers have extended invitation to all Muslims to attend the event along with their families. Dr Mohi said that special arrangements have been made for women and children who are also expected to take part in large numbers at the gathering. Public iftars are an opportunity for people across the world to get together and interact with each other the release said.

'This goes a long way in generating goodwill in society. People understand each other better' said Dr Mohi. Many organisations and societies hold iftar gatherings during Ramadan a month of generosity and worship. They feel honoured to serve people who fast and seek the Almighty's blessings Dr Mohi added.
