UAE- Minister of Higher Education organises group Iftar banquet


(MENAFN- Emirates News Agency (WAM)) The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research is organising a group Iftar for all its officials, staff and workers, after which a lecture will be held on the subject of humanitarian work and its importance and role in strengthening relations and love between community members.

The event is in celebration of the Humanitarian Work Day, which is marked on the 19th of Ramadan each year in memory of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and in response to the directives of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, as part of its commitment to its social responsibilities.

The Ministry, during the days of the Holy Month, is distributing dates, copies of the Holy Quran, Islamic booklets on Ramadan and fasting Fatwa. It also publishes, through its social networking pages, information about the importance of charitable and humanitarian work in general and the humanitarian role of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan in particular.

Additionally, a weekly competition is conducted on the Ministry's social networking pages aimed at the delivery of information and creation of communication with both the general public and staff.
