(MENAFNEditorial) Hotels and rest website (hotelandrest.com) marked three years of operation at a reception held at the Ramadan tent in Emirates Palace Hotel in Abu Dhabi.
Sanaa Al Ghilani, manager of Abu Dhabi-based Iris Media, which owns the site, said there are plans to launch a new Arabic and English version of the site just after the end of Eid Al Fitr.
She said the new site would involve the latest electronic media technology to cope with developments in this field worldwide.
"The new site will still cover hotels, restaurants, tourism sites, companies and all other relevant subjects...it reflects our interest in developing services so we will remain the leading website in this field in the UAE," she said.
Amal Al Sarraj, manager of the site's content, said the new site includes improvement in both content and form to satisfy visitors.
During the reception, Yasmin Al Sarraj, an Iris Media team member, was honored in recognition for her efforts to develop the site and upgrade its services. LouiseMarsele Tawat was also honoured for her role in electronic archives for Iris Media clients.
The function included draws for prizes offered by Emirates Palace, Novotel Abu Dhabi Gate, Rixos Palm, Sofitel Corniche Abu Dhabi, Hyatt Capital Gate Abu Dhabi, Ramada Abu Dhabi Corniche, Swiss Belhotel Abu Dhabi Corniche, Danat Residence Abu Dhabi, Al Raha Beach Hotel and Tilal Liwa Hotel.
