Abu Dhabi — The UAE’s capital held its first Press conference for kids and hosted by kids on July 2 at Ferrari World Yas Island. Kids Rule on Yas Island This Summer began at 6pm on Thursday evening with some talented youngsters hosting the event.
The event created by children as young as ten was filled with energy enthusiasm and excitement as they announced what’s in store for them this summer. Fifteen children from schools around the capital hosted the event accompanied by Karim El Guanaini Senior Vice-President Product Marketing and Distribution Destination Yas Island.
“We wanted to focus on kids and make sure they have endless activities during their school holidays.”
Guanaini stated that entertainment centres such as Ferrari World Yas Waterworld and hotels located on the popular island have developed special packages where youngsters can stay dine and play for free.
“Abu Dhabi summer season continues to provide entertainment and activities for all ages across the emirate” said Sultan Al Dhaheri Acting Executive Director of Tourism Sector Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority.
One of the activities on Yas includes locating hidden golden keys which will be distributed in various parts of the island. The Yas Treasure Hunt which runs until September allows parents and children to locate one of the 250 keys to win prizes worth over Dh10000.
Carlos Maleh 12 from Al Muna School said he feels privileged and excited to take part in events that support children.
