Islamabad summons Afghan envoy over official's detention

(MENAFN- Arab News) ISLAMABAD: Pakistan's Foreign Ministry says it summoned the Afghan envoy to Islamabad to convey its concern over the detention of a Pakistani official in the Afghan city of Kandahar.
In a statement Friday the ministry said the official working in Pakistan's consulate in Kandahar was forcibly taken away by Afghan forces on Thursday. It said hours later Afghan authorities handed the official over to the Pakistani embassy in the capital Kabul.
The ministry statement also expressed concern over a Thursday incident in which Afghan border police wounded two Pakistani security personnel by opening fire at the Angoor Adda border crossing.
