Bahrain condemns attacks in Sinai

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Bahrain strongly condemned Thursday recent attacks in the northern part of Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, which killed scores of soldiers and policemen.

It added in a statement announced by the government today that such criminal acts hamper all efforts to meet the aspirations of the Egyptian people for prosperity and progress.

It further reiterated its support to Egypt in ensuring security and stability on its lands and to terminate terrorism in all its forms, calling on the international community to eliminate violence and terrorism from all parts of the world.

The Egyptian Army announced last night that 17 soldiers and 100 militants were killed in clashes in North Sinai. (end)
