Australia records USD4.1b revised trade deficit for April

(MENAFN) Australia recorded a trade deficit of USD4.1 billion for April after revision. However, the country managed to narrow down its losses after a slight recovery last month, ABC News reported.

The recovery came despite the fact that Australia imported USD2.75 billion more in goods and services than it exported in May, according to the country's Bureau of Statistics.

The improvement was driven by both a slight 1 percent recovery in exports, driven by an increase in commodity revenues and a recovery in prices, and a 4 percent decline in imports.
