Oman- Fire in Darsait building


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Two persons including a minor boy sustained injuries when a fire broke out in a building near the Darsait Flyover on Thursday.
 
The injured persons have been rushed to the Khoula Hospital where they are undergoing treatment. They are reported to be out of danger a fire brigade person told Muscat Daily.

The initial assessment is that fire may have been caused due to a short-circuit in an air conditioning unit or due to a leakage in the cooking gas cylinder in a residential flat on the second floor. The civil defence personnel are investigating to find out the reason behind the fire residents said.

Two fire engines were pressed into service to douse the fire which started at around 3.40pm on Thursday. All the residents of the building were evacuated after the fire broke out on the second floor of the four-storied building they said.
