Dwelling Place Encourages Use Of Baby Mirror For Rear Facing Car Seats

(MENAFNEditorial) New studies show that many parents are not following guidelines about using rear facing car seats until the age of 2. In a 2007 study by the journal Injury Prevention it was found that babies in rear facing car seats were 75% less likely to die or be severely injured in a crash than their forward facing counterparts.

In recent years the American Academy of Pediatrics has modified their safety guidelines to now recommend keeping toddlers in rear facing car seats until the age of 2.

Unfortunately many parents are choosing to ignore these new safety guidelines and are turning their child's car seat to face forward earlier than recommended. When asked why parents are ignoring these crucial safety guidelines a common response is that it is easier to interact with forward facing children.

"The safety of our children should always be of utmost importance. I urge parents to follow all safety guidelines and keep children rear facing until the age of 2." says Gia Lee founder of Dwelling Place. "There are simple solutions such as our  that can be used to interact with your rear facing tots."

The Baby Car Mirror by Dwelling Place can be easily installed on to any back seat headrest so parents can interact with their children on the go. It is available for sale on .

On the positive side a recent study found that although many parents are still turning their children's car seats early there has been a gradual but present increase in following recommended safety guidelines.
