(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) The Ministry of Regional Municipalities and Water Resources (MRMWR) has bought nine eco-friendly pest control vehicles.
The initiative is part of the ministry's efforts to address pest problems that are on the rise due to the increasing number of houses and buildings across the country. The vehicles are fitted with a fire extinguisher and a first-aid kit to ensure the safety of the vehicle operators.
'The vehicles will operate in all governorates where the ministry has a presence. Each vehicle is provided with pest-control equipment that utilises advanced powerful and economical ways to control pests' said an official from MRMWR. The integrated equipment system fitted in the vehicle can be operated digitally or through a remote. The machines can be used to cover increased area.
'These machines are among the most modern ones used for fighting airborne and crawling insects. 'They will be used for flies in the mornings and for mosquitoes in the evenings' the official said.
