UAE grants USD9.79b for infrastructure in developing countries


(MENAFN) The United Arab Emirates is set to offer a total of USD9.79 billion for infrastructure in certain developing countries, according to the Minister of International Cooperation and Development (MICAD), Emirates News Agency reported.

The aid, which previously spanned over 4 years from 2010-2014, comes in part of the country's commitment to aid poor communities and help foster a higher standard of living.

"[UAE] is aware about strengthening partnership with regional and international development institutions, given their role in assessing the needs of developing countries and drawing feasible studies for projects," an official said.
