(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Qatar Motor and Motorcycle Federation (QMMF) hosted a safety awareness campaign in association with FIA for Road Safety, the Traffic Department and riders to activate the national strategy for traffic safety.
About 250 riders of various nationalities took part in the event on the Corniche from 8pm until midnight.
Participants also put their bikes on display and took part in slow ride competition. Contestants tried to ride at the slowest speed, balancing with feet on their bikes. The winner was the rider who finished last.
Nasser Khalifa Al Attiyah, QMMF President and FIA Vice-President, presented trophies for Best Classic Bike; Best Sport Bike; Best Customised Bike; Best Bike of the Show; Best Paint Job; Best Helmet; Best Trike; Best Rider; and Best Rusty Bike.
