Drone Strikes Kill 14 Militants in Afghanistan


(MENAFN- QNA) Fourteen militants have been killed and their hideouts destroyed in US drone strikes in eastern Nangarhar province of Afghanistan.

Officials at the police headquarters of Nangarhar said that the drone targeted two insurgent hideouts in Mach Megi area of Lalpur District yesterday.

Hazrat Hussain Mashriqiwal, spokesman for the police headquarters writes in a statement issued on this morning that civilians have not received damages in the attack, according to the Afghan (Khaama Press).

Mashriqiwal at the same time confirmed to media that the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) targeted two hideouts of the militants, adding that both hiding places of the insurgents were also destroyed in the strikes.

Taliban have not yet commented on the report.
