Kuwait- Raid By ISIS Group Denied

(MENAFN- Arab Times) The Public Relations and Security Media Department of Ministry of Interior has denied the rumors that are circulating on social networking websites concerning several masked individuals associated with ISIS raiding the house of a Kuwaiti citizen in Mubarak Al-Kabeer area, vandalizing the properties and injuring the owner of the house before fleeing.

According to a press statement issued by Ministry of Interior, a Kuwaiti citizen in his 60s called the emergency line 112 and made claims that lacked substantial proofs. The department refuted the citizen's claims, clarifying that police officers had rushed to the location as soon as the citizen had made the call to the emergency line but they found nothing that substantiated his claims.

They also checked the records of the CCTV cameras installed in neighboring houses but found nothing to prove that the citizen's house was raided as per his claims. It also revealed that the officers insisted the senior citizen to file a report at the police station, but he only filed it after four hours.

The Public Relations and Security Media Department urges users of social networking websites to avoid sharing such false news, as those found spreading false and fabricated news will face legal action. The department also urges the public to refer to the concerned authorities to obtain correct news in order to preserve social security, stability and order in the country.
