UAE offered AED36 billion for infrastructure development in developing countries from 2010- 2014


(MENAFN- Emirates News Agency (WAM)) Sheikha Lubna bint Khalid Al Qasimi, Minister of International Cooperation and Development (MICAD), has said there are strong signs that the UAE development aid to upgrade the infrastructure in the developing countries and poor communities, have an impact on the life of people.

She added that the UAE upon the directives of its leadership takes interest in supporting the development indexes in the developing countries, including some Asian countries.

Commenting on the UAE's joining of Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, AIIB, as a founding through its development arm, Abu Dhabi Fund for Development, Sheikha Lubna said the UAE" is aware about strengthening partnership with regional and international development institutions, given their role in assessing the needs of developing countries and drawing feasible studies for projects."

She noted that the UAE had provided the development aid worth AED36 billion to the developing countries from 2010-2014.
