West Texas Intermediate oil futures settled higher overnight following an extension of the deadline for an agreement over Iran's nuclear program and as traders continued to watch developments in Greece's debt negotiations.

August crude rallied 2% to settle at US$59.47 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.

Tracking the most-active contracts prices have soared 11.6% so far in 2015.
