Northern Gold (CVE:NGM) says it has recovered over 2708 ounces of gold from the Garrcon deposit at its Golden Bear Project1 in northern Ontario with a recovery rate of over 95.5 percent.

The results of the bulk sampling are as of June 24 2015.

The company said it recovered 2708.9 troy ounces of gold from the mineralized material.

It processed 55348 dry tonnes of mineralized material amounting to some 69 percent of the total 80000 tonne bulk sample program in eight batches at St. Andrew Goldfields’ Holt mill.

In Batch 8 Northern Gold processed 14723 dry tonnes grading 1.375 g/t recovering 631.1 oz. Au at 97%. making both the largest continuous run through the mill and the one with the highest recovery.

"The Company will deliver at least 72000 total tonnes to the mill in advance of the end of June the contractual minimum tonnage and end of the Custom Milling contract. We are working with St Andrew Goldfields Ltd to extend the contract time. It is expected that Batch 9 will begin processing the first week of July" said Northern Gold’s president and CEO Eric Moeller.

The first batch was processed last September and the most recent batch ended last May 9 according to Northern Gold's statement.

The goal of the bulk sampling is to gather production metrics and costing data to support a pre-feasibility study for the Garrcon deposit.

St. Andrew Goldfields says Northern Gold’s material has processed easily producing “very low” cyanide rates and good recovery allowing the company to proceed according to schedule and under a custom milling agreement signed between Northern and the company last fall.

The Garrcon deposit is located on the Garrison property which forms part of the company's Golden Bear project east of Timmins in Ontario.

The Garrison property at Golden Bear includes about 4 km of the famous Destor-Porcupine Fault System a major crustal break extending more than 300 km from west of Timmins to east of Val d'Or in Quebec.
