GCC postal services officials meet


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) postal services undersecretaries held a meeting late on Sunday as they continued discussing the unification of standardization and procedures.

The officials met to continue where they left off on discussions regarding a future development work plan, said Kuwait's Ministry of Communications Assistant Undersecretary for Postal Services Mejeb Al-Dossari.

A proposal by Saudi Arabia seeks to adopt a unified structure which depends on electronic means, he said.

For its part, Kuwait's aims to transform its mail services into an independently-run body that seeks to provide highly-advanced services on a commercial basis.
