(MENAFN- Arab Times) His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al- Ahmad Al-Jaber Al- Sabah received at Dasman Palace late Monday afternoon the Amir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani and his accompanying delegation in the presence of His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al- Jaber Al-Sabah.
The Qatari Amir offered condolences to His Highness the Amir on the Friday terrorist bomb attack on Imam Al- Sadiq Mosque and renewed Qatar's support to Kuwait in all measures to protect its security and stability. He prayed for God's mercy to the martyrs and wished the wounded quick recovery.
The cordial talks between the two sides reflected the close relationship between Kuwait and Qatar and reviewed a range of bilateral, regional and international issues of common concern. The meeting was attended by National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Al-Ghanim, His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al- Hamad Al-Sabah, Minister of the Amiri Diwan Affairs Sheikh Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmad Al- Sabah and First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al- Hamad Al-Sabah, as well as a number of sheikhs and senior officials.
Earlier, the Qatari Amir and his accompanying delegation was warmly received at the airport by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al- Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Al-Ghanim and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al- Hamad Al-Sabah.
They were also welcomed by Minister of the Amiri Diwan Affairs Sheikh Nasser Sabah Al- Ahmad Al-Sabah, First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Al- Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Mohammad Al-Khaled Al- Hamad Al-Sabah, Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Sheikh Khaled Al-Jarrah Al- Sabah, and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Anas Khaled Al-Saleh, as well as other senior officials.
The Qatari Amir's delegation is made up of the Amir's special representative Sheikh Jassem bin Hamad Al Thani, President of the Qatari Olympic Committee Sheikh Jawaan bin Hamad Al Thani, Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad Al Thani and Chief of Staff of the Amiri Diwan Sheikh Khaled bin Khalifa Al Thani. Meanwhile, His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah hosted an Iftar banquet at Dasman Palace on Monday evening in honor of Amir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani and his accompanying delegation who started a visit to Kuwait.
