(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) The Ministry of Tourism (MoT) on Sunday launched its Dhofar travel guide website Traveller Oasis (http://travelleroasis.om/).
The site offers information on hotels car rental activities and places to see in the governorate and is available in both English and Arabic. The site also has accounts on social media including Instagram Twitter Facebook and YouTube. Next week the ministry will launch a mobile app version of the website.
The website will complement the Traveller Oasis centre in Salalah which has been operational for the past three years. The centre offers all information related to hotel reservations car rental and other services. 'Traveller Oasis is an integrated rest area providing a full range of tourist services. It features a luxurious administrative tent that provides information on hotel reservations and other services. It remains open 24x7' said Sayyid Adil al Mardas al Busaidi advisor of tourism affairs in MoT.
More than 431000 tourists visited Dhofar during the khareef season in 2014.
The khareef season this year began on June 21 and will conclude on September 21 while Salalah Tourism Festival will be held from July 3 to August 31.
